A new study published in August 2023 looked at “information overload” in parents.
When a parent experiences information overload, they may have more difficulty making informed decisions.
The study included 214 parents of children under four years old in Sweden and examined how parents’ online search habits were related to their self-efficacy and experience of information overload.
Look for websites with information written or reviewed by licensed and/or credentialed medical and mental health professionals.
Limit how many sources you use and avoid undirected browsing.
Remember that you are the expert on your child.
