'Quiz Lady' review: Sandra Oh shows her wacky side

Sandra Oh plays the wild card of a family comedy peppered with silly hijinks, sensitive gangsters, sisterly squabbles.

Will Ferrell , Jason Schwartzman , Tony Hale , and Holland Taylor also star in the film.

Quiz Lady is set to debut on Hulu on Nov. 3 .

Awkwafina is able to let loose and have fun with us, but for much of the film, she seems uncertain of how to find the midway between goofy and grounded.

The shut-down Anne seems more like a pitfall than a protagonist, sucking the fun out of the story through her scowls and self-loathing.

Quiz Lady was reviewed out of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival .
