US shoplifting epidemic grows increasingly deadly as CVS store manager killed by alleged robber

Michael Jacobs , 49 , was an operations manager at CVS Pharmacy in Mesa , Ariz. , where he had worked for the past 20-plus years .

Jared Sevey , 39 , shot Jacobs because he was "tired of being bullied," according to KKTV 11 News .

Jacobs' family has started a GoFundMe page, saying that CVS has not even reached out to discuss medical expenses.
