DHS releases new guardrails for using AI in missions, announces new officer

Department of Homeland Security unveils new AI policies for its use of artificial intelligence.

The new policies were developed by the agency's Artificial Intelligence Task Force .

DHS has already used AI technology extensively on the southern border, most notably with the use of more than 200 surveillance cameras to detect and flag where human crossings occur.
