Pahalgam: The beauty and brutality of life in the shadow of Kashmir killings

Kashmir 's Pahalgam is called the "mini- Switzerland of India " by locals.
In April , 25 tourists were shot dead in a meadow near the town of Baisaran in Kashmir .
The massacre brought India and Pakistan to the brink of war after India blamed Pakistan for the killings.
Kashmiris are trying to pick up the pieces and move on.
Pahalgam pony owners' union leader Abdul Wahid Wani was first to arrive at the scene of the attack.
He says he saw women and children crying and screaming and saw bodies on the ground.
The town has sprung back to life with pilgrims arriving to take part in the Amarnath Yatra.
Mr Jaffar says their friends are calling them after seeing their photos. "And I'm telling them to come here for a holiday. Where will you see this beauty? Where will you get this peace?".
