75% Informative
25 cases of espionage involving Israelis working for Iranian intelligence agencies have been thwarted.
Indictments have been filed, with 40 Israelis expected to face charges.
Lahav 433 Cyber Unit specializes in investigating digital wallets.
Money is the primary motive for the suspects, says Lt. Col. Sarit Peretz.
"Most suspects don’t deny their involvement," says Peretz.
"Their motivation was always about easy money," she says.
"While one or two suspects expressed discontent with the state, it was not clearly ideological," she said.
The amounts involved ranged from 800,000 to a million shekels.
