Futurists have lost sight of tomorrow as a practice and, unfortunately, that agency is now in the hands of venture capitalists and tech fascists.

The push for artificial intelligence by the tech barons is relentless, pervasive, invasive, and often bloody manipulative and coercive.

The fight isn’t to “ Ban AI’s too late for that shit, Just as privacy laws are established for that.

Futurists and AI pundits gush and fawn over artificial intelligence, primarily out of the fear of becoming a statistic themselves.

They’ve adopted the same cult mentality as the bigger Silicon Valley set to push a rhetoric that just isn’t true; that adopting AI will usher in some sort of utopian vision for humanity with abundance for all.

There is a growing sense amongst some of the foresight community to turn to a more activist mindset.
