Bobby Pierce edged Ryan Gustin in a tight battle to take home $ 10,000 on the first night of the 2025 Gopher 50.
Pierce started the 30 -lap feature on the second row trailing pole sitter Gustin and Rochester ’s Dustin Sorensen .
Pierce made his first bid for the lead on the bottom just before halfway, but Gustin was initially able to find enough speed on the high side to hold the lead.
Pierce said he didn't feel nearly as comfortable behind the wheel on the final dash to the finish as it may have looked.
Hayfield driver Brandon Davis won the USRA Modifieds feature.
Tyler Bruening finished third .
Tanner English finished fourth for his first top five of the season.
Tyler Williamson (Rushford), Zach Brom , Dustin Sorensen ( Rochester ) and Jacob Bleess ( Chatfield ) rounded out the top five .
