The family and neighbours of victims of a deadly landslide in Lions Bay have responded to a counter lawsuit, calling it “frivolous and vexatious” They had filed a lawsuit in April against the B.C. government and the Village of Lions Bay for negligence.
The lawsuit claimed a debris flow that killed Barbara and David Enns was “caused, or alternatively contributed to” by the allegedly illegal construction of roads and a small reservoir on provincial land.
Vestergaard responded to that in June saying there was no evidence he contributed to, or was responsible for, the slide.
