Finnish Customs officials have been investigating an extensive criminal case involving illicit exports to Russia in violation of international sanctions.
A company based in eastern Finland ’s North Karelia region is suspected of supplying components to Russia during the first two years of its full-scale war against Ukraine , 2022 and 2023 .
The components included semiconductors, microchips, processors and connectors.
According to the chief investigator, the company is still in business.
