Two teens from the GTA have been charged by York Regional Police after a series of armed home invasions and carjackings across York , Peel and Toronto .
The investigation dubbed Project Gamer was launched after an April 5 incident during which multiple people, at least one armed with a handgun, attempted to carjack a Ferrari in Richmond Hill .
Cops claim the carjackers were unsuccessful in obtaining the keys and fled the scene in a black Land Rover .
