What's our story?
If you're reading this, you've probably noticed that the quality of information around us is getting worse. You’re right - it is! When people consume bad content, they are more likely to make bad decisions and take bad actions. The extreme partisanship plaguing the US right now is causing most people to view the news through the eyes of their own tribe - while often missing what is actually true. But what if there was a way to view the news as it is seen from Mars? Not just a balanced view, but an external, otherworldly way to consume the news? This is what we’ve set out to achieve, and this is how the public-benefit corporation called Otherweb was born. To illustrate this otherworldly view, we created Marty - your friendly alien know-it-all - who can answer any question and summarize news from hundreds of publications in one place (with the help of AI, of course). We’ve also included traditional feeds and searches, and to these we’ve added hundreds of AI-based filters, customizations, and even bullet-point summaries and nutrition labels for each article - allowing you to be in complete control of your information diet.
